GoodBye

A goodbye never means only a goodbye
Silently it whispers sardonically
And brings alongside detachment and distance
An insignificant one second indeed
Yet how mighty is the ability to shatter hopes and dreams

A goodbye ceases sweet promises and assurances
As if their existences are merely fairy tales
Often you'll question what defines goodbye
Is it just a simple combination of seven alphabets
Or is it a faded affection

A goodbye wears out sincere smiles
Forcefully yet involuntarily
The heartbreak within who can empathise
Where then to fill this endless loneliness
Carved by goodbyes
